Good quality set of figured rosewood chairs with well-carved backs , moulded frames and seat rails ,and carved detail to the tapering turned front supports . The chairs in excellent original condition with strong, solid frames ,and no breaks or repairs . Good comfortably-scaled chairs with well-designed ''rake'' angle to the backs.
Original oil-cloth ''over-stuffed'' seat covers in need of replacement (can be re-covered in clients choice of fabric at cost price approx. £300 to include re-webbing etc)
Good original patina and colour , and high grade of chosen timber.
The design of the chair backs having style features similar to those produced by Gillows of Lancaster.
