Salisbury Antiques Centre has dated this William IV Tea Caddy to the 19th Century.
The shaped, raised lid is embellished with delicate mother-of-pearl foliate motifs and a carved gadrooned border.

The front retains its diamond-shaped mother-of-pearl escutcheon, whilst the sides are fitted with decorative ring carrying handles.
The hinged lid opens to reveal two internal tea compartments, each with a removable wooden cover, originally intended for storing different varieties of tea.
Raised on small bun feet, this delightful caddy has a lovely warm colour and patina, with the decorative inlay providing an attractive contrast to the richly figured rosewood.
