Victorian Oval Timber Gilt Mirror with Urn Top Pediment

A superb quality mid Victorian oval timber gilt framed mirror with original floral swags pediment c.1870. The slender timber gilt oval mirror frame with decorative plaster work border to the outer edge and breaded border to the mirror edge. Above the mirror is the original plaster pediment with gilt wire work forming the floral swags and urn to the centre; the swags falling to the sides with with a ribbon design crest to the top of each. Original quarter plate mirror glass with a bevelled edge in excellent blemish and scratch free condition. Presented in superb original condition with no damage to the gilt finish plus the original boarded back with secure fittings for wall hanging.
