Antique 20th century smoker’s bow armchair in elm, a wonderfully characterful chair with the distinctive shape and inviting proportions associated with this classic design.

Standing on four turned legs joined by supporting stretchers, the chair has a sturdy and well-balanced construction with no unwanted movement.

The curved bow back is fitted with beautifully turned spindles, creating an attractive traditional silhouette while forming a supportive surround.

Gorgeous natural grain and warm colour flow throughout the elm, giving the chair plenty of depth and individual character.

Presented in good condition, well made and of good quality, this desirable armchair has a reassuringly solid feel while retaining all the warmth and charm that makes elm seating so appealing.
