Description

GILLOW & CO. RENAISSANCE REVIVAL WALNUT CABINET ON STAND, in the manner of Stephen Webb. C 1890 and of exceptional quality, this cabinet is constructed from solid walnut and is finely carved with an upper frieze of satyr mask, birds and acanthus scrolls, over two panelled doors carved with further scrolls and centred with Romanesque profiles, opening to a single shelf, all flanked with plasters of classical urns and cornucopia. The stand fitted with a single drawer stamped 'Gillow & Co.' and numbered 1748, and with acanthus carved and tapered square columns and platform shelf with panelled back, raised on block ogee feet. Overall dimensions are 183cm height x107cm width x 41cm depth. Item can be collected from LL29 or please contact seller for possible delivery quote.
