Mid 18th Century Mahogany Document Box

Description

This good mahogany document box is beautifully proportioned with a brass plate engraved for 'Miles Birchal 1760' to the lid. With a good working replacement lock marked for 'Made in England' and 'A&E Squires'. The interior comprises of one lift out tray with brass fittings.

In good condition overall with a few minor splits/knocks and a slight rise to the lid, but it still locks perfectly well. A good solid useable piece.
