Salisbury Antiques Centre has dated this Chippendale Mahogany Wall Mirror to the 1880s.
The elaborate cresting incorporates scrolling and foliate motifs, with corresponding shaped decoration to the sides and lower apron, all inspired by 18th-century Chippendale designs.

The mahogany has developed a warm, rich colour and the mirror plate displays attractive age-related foxing and spotting, adding considerably to its character.
A particularly decorative antique mirror of elegant proportions, ideal for a hallway, bedroom, drawing room or positioned above a chest or console table.
