French 19th Century Gilt Wall Mirror in the Louis Xvi Style

Description

A very good quality late 19th century large French gilt wall mirror in the Louis XVI style, with cherub, dove and scroll leaf crest. The frame has applied gesso beaded detail with floral and ribbon design to the corners, and marginal mirror plates with a central bevelled mirror plate.

The original gilt is in very good condition, along with the original mirror plates.

Height - 163 cm (64 ¼ inches)

Width - 101 cm (39 ¾ inches)

Depth - 7 cm (18 inches)

Circa - 1880
