K0606 A substantial English 19th century pier mirror, c.1860, in an arched frame with moulded edge and rope carved decoration. The mirror retains its original glass with desirable light foxing. The giltwood frame shows a mix of original gilding and sensitive later touching up over the years adding antique character and charm, with a rich oxidation and patina from over 160 years of age. It retains its original backboards and is fitted with four secure wall brackets. At 160cm tall, it works beautifully as a wall mirror above a console, or styled as a floor leaner in a hallway, bedroom, or dressing area. Good antique condition.
