A very elegant set of antique French giltwood bergère armchairs, shaped in the Louis XVI taste with carved frames and soft oval backs. The gilded frames are finely detailed with fluting, acanthus carving and delicate beading, all raised on tapering fluted legs.The chairs are upholstered in a quality silk damask with classical striping which complements the gilt frames, giving a refined decorative look without being overpowering.
