Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Originating in the early to mid-20th century, Swedish leather club chairs combined French Art Deco proportions with Nordic functionalism. They feature deeply padded seats, curved backs, and compact silhouettes tailored for comfortable residential living.

These chairs are constructed using solid hardwood frames, typically birch or beech, sprung seats, and natural sheepskin or cowhide leather upholstery dyed using organic pigments.

Authentic period examples exhibit hand-tufted buttoning, hand-tacked upholstery nails along the rear, original timber legs showing natural wear, and natural patination across high-friction areas.

Positioning a pair opposite a clean-lined modern sofa creates visual contrast. Pairing the dark leather tones with neutral textured rugs, contemporary art, and brass lighting balances traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics.

Keep leather away from direct heat sources and direct sunlight to prevent drying. Clean regularly with a soft dry cloth and apply a specialized leather balm once or twice a year to maintain suppleness and preserve the natural patina.
