In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this Anglo Indian Stationery Box to the 1900s.
It is further decorated with sadeli work, a traditional micro-mosaic technique using ebony and bone to create geometric borders.

The box has a canted sloping lid which opens to reveal a series of racks for holding papers and letters. The dividers are decorated with additional sadeli mosaic panels and it comes with its original working key.

It is in very good condition for its age and the interior is clean and tidy. There are some general signs of age and use, some small knocks and minor marks and an old shrinkage split at the back corner (see photo) but nothing detrimental and it displays well.
The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
