This Victorian overmantle mirror from 1860 is formed from carved wood and gesso with a gold finish and an original glass mirror plate with backboards. The rectangular architectural frame includes a central carved floral cresting, prominent egg and dart moulding along the top, and decorative corner spandrels at the upper and lower corners, all supported on stepped plinth feet. The substantial proportions measure 160 cm high, 146 cm wide, and 6 cm deep.
