Circa 1880. Victorian carved and gilded overmantel mirror with Edinburgh makers label on the back, the mirror with a stylish pediment including an oval Wedgewood Jasper plaque, with foliate carving on each side, containing its original mirror plate with a simple slip with a moulded section, the uprights with carved capped pilasters with a flowerhead on the base, and scrolling foliate casting to the sides. The trade label on the back is P’.D. Torre and Company, Carvers.
