Queens Antiques and Collectables has dated this Antique Brass Tobacco Box to the 18th Century.

The lid features a battle scene to the centre with the head of Prince Ferdinand and Dutch/Germanic writing below.
The base with a different scene also with writing and engraved with Rich Bell 1763.
Other examples of these, possibly/probably by Johan Heinrich Giese are found in the British Museum & The Museum of Modern Art New York USA.

A rare piece.
Measuring 16 cm x 5cm x 3 cm and weighs 160 grams.
Condition is very good for its age, there is some visible wear to the brass, resulting in loss of detail to the imagery and lettering of the surface relief, box shuts well.
