M Lees and Sons has dated these Chippendale Revival Dining Chairs to the 19th Century.
Authentic copies of mid C18th Chippendale period chairs with carved detail interlaced splats below shaped top rails , raised on square section ‘Marlborough’ legs joined by H-stretchers and having ‘drop-in’ upholstered seats .

The selected grade of mahogany having achieved a rich colour and patina, have been cleaned and waxed in our workshops .The frames in excellent condition with no breaks , damage or repairs. The leather-covered drop-in seat pads would benefit from re-upholstering as 4 of them are heavily worn, this could be completed to client’s specification and choice of leather or fabric at cost price (ie not included in price) .

A scarce multiple ‘long’ set of 12 matching chairs , of classic C18th Chippendale period design of practical scale and ergonomic design having seats of both broad width and depth.
NB from the same local property we purchased a large Georgian mahogany triple pillar dining table which was used in conjunction with this set of chairs to form a very elegant dining suite . Details of which are on our website or available on request.
