Elegant antique French gilt overmantel mirror in excellent condition.

It dates from around 1880 and is in the Louis XV style.

It has a beautiful real gilt (gold leaf) frame in perfect condition with gorgeous ornate detail to its crest, curved shoulders and side scrolls.

It has its original bevelled glass with no scratches or foxing and its original backboard.

It was designed as an overmantel but would look

equally good just hanging on a large wall.
