Fine quality large oval gilt mirror dating to the early nineteenth century. The mirror is very simple in form and of classical design with a small acanthus leaf design to the outside edge, cavetto moulding and a beaded inner edge. The original gilding is two tones in colour, alternating between a grey and red bole. The whole is in good antique condition with the usual wear and a small amount of repair in areas. The mirror plate is old and has some foxing and age though I am unsure if it is the original. The whole is a great decorative piece with a superb country house look.
