Large Early Nineteenth Century Oval Gilt Mirror

Fine quality large oval gilt mirror dating to the early nineteenth century. The mirror is very simple in form and of classical design with a small acanthus leaf design to the outside edge, cavetto moulding and a beaded inner edge. The original gilding is two tones in colour, alternating between a grey and red bole. The whole is in good antique condition with the usual wear and a small amount of repair in areas. The mirror plate is old and has some foxing and age though I am unsure if it is the original. The whole is a great decorative piece with a superb country house look. C.1830.
