A set of 6 Bentwood Dining Chairs. Early 20th C. with a decorative cut out back and the classic curves that a Bentwood chair is recognised for.
In a solid condition with wear etc. appropriate for age and use including some damage to the bottom of one leg and a curved support.
The Bentwood chair derives from the first Bentwood chair made by Michael Thonet in the 1850''s who perfected the use of steam to soften the wood and bend it into the desired shape.
