Description

A late Georgian period mahogany and parcel gilt fretwork wall mirror. This George IV period mirror in landscape perspective with a mahogany veneered fretwork frame, an oblong mirror plate with a parcel-gilt moulded inner border, the crested top centred by Hoho bird cartouche, and shaped apron. Wood panelled back and chain strung for hanging.

Dimensions:

This frame measures approximately 76 cm (30") tall, 86 cm (33.75") wide, and 4 cm (1.75") deep. The mirror glass measures 44.5 cm (17.5") by 69.5 cm (27.375").

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This frame is in a reasonably good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound. Some of the fretwork tips have been reattached. Some marks and blemishes on the frame. Well presented. Cleaned and waxed, ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
