A Scottish George III Walnut 'caqueteuse' Elbow Chair, Third Quarter 18th Century

Lovely warm colour with figuring to the arms and top rail.
 
A distinctive and unusual variation of the type with an arm design derived first in France and later adopted in 17th century Scottish chair making.
 
Structurally rock solid. Very isolated historic worm in places, with concentration to the right side of the seat rail, treated and structually insignificant.
