From a small collection of welsh furniture we have been lucky to be offered,a 19thc folk art north wales decorated spinning chair.

Dating from the latter part of the 19th century. This pokerwork decorated chair has a welsh saying on the seat which we love

It translates to " better to be a wanderer than a stay at home:!

The lettering of this saying is clearly visible when looking at it but incredibly difficult to get close up pics.

It stands 88cms h in perfect condition ( normal wear to the seat) c1880
