This beautiful and subtlely designed GEORGIAN MAHOGANY HALL CHAIR, of SGABELLO form, dates from circa 1760.
It has dished roundels to the seat and the front. The timber is of rich colour and patina.
As with all genuine antiques there are signs of character. In this instance, there is a small burn to the back panel, which perhaps was caused by a candle being placed too close on the seat.
