A superb pair of gilt and black japanned armchairs, in the Chinese Chippendale style.

The mahogany frames are adorned with finely painted chinoiserie decoration throughout.

With intricate lattice work backrests and underarm supports, complemented by a crisply carved top crest rail.

Traditionally upholstered drop in seat pads with toile silk.
