ANTIQUE #SA1112243

A 19th Century Carved Wood And Gilt Mirror Commissioned By A Duke

£2,950    $3,650    €3,492
Of large size, the mirror retains the original gilt decoration and has a London makers label to the back. It has a carved Dukes crown on cushion at the top meaning almost certainly that the mirror was commissioned by a Duke. With the unusual rope style moulding, it is likely that the Duke would have had a strong Naval association, perhaps being a very senior member of the British Admiralty.
