Description

A neat set of two antique Georgian ash and elm Windsor chairs. The antique Windsor chairs have a hoop and stick backrest, with a decorative pierced central splat. The Georgian Windsor chairs have shaped and figured elm seats, raised on four turned legs with crinoline stretcher supports. Beautiful colour and grain throughout. A particularly lovely set of antique armchairs

Height – 95cm / Width - 58cm / Depth - 59cm / Seat Height - 45cm

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition overall, with some signs of age-related wear. The piece shows surface wear, including marks and scratches consistent with its age. The seats of the elbow chairs have some splitting and scratches (as pictured), and the top also displays splitting and minor loss (as pictured). However, these issues do not compromise the structural integrity of the two Georgian Windsor elbow chairs. The antique ash and elm Windsor chairs remain structurally solid and sound, with good tight joints. Overall, a lovely example of a pair of Windsor chairs, finished with a fresh coat of natural wax.
