A Most Unusual Early Victorian Games Compendium In Rosewood

A most unusual early Victorian games compendium in rosewood with inlaid panels of cut brass work.  The box opens to reveal a comprehensive array of fitments including a leather lined backgammon board, a rosewood and maple chequer board and cribbage markers.  Further openings reveal a hinged velvet lined writing slope, a pen tray and two inkwells and stamps tray and a compartment containing turned ebony ad boxwood counters and a pair of tooled red leader dice shakers and two dice.  Also, a removeable box with two sliding lids and a fixed box with three pull-off lids all with ivory knobs.  Circa 1840  IVORY SELF DECLARATION:  G433YVR2
