Founders Antiques has dated this Victorian Birch Rocking Chair to the 19th Century.
The frame is supported by beautifully turned legs and distinctive double bobbin turned stretchers, all set on original birch rockers.

A charming and functional piece with an honest, vernacular presence, it would sit well in a quiet reading corner, bedroom or living space.
Presented in very good antique condition with some attractive aged surface wear and a warm, rich colour throughout. Structurally sound, with a nice old solid repair to one arm where it joins the seatback. Beautifully clean and ready to place in the home.
