This is a Regency Period Neo-Classical revival pier-looking glass with a gilt wood and ebonised frame, the top pediment decorated with small spheres. Below this, in ebonised carved relief, the frieze depicts dancers in ancient Greek dress flanked by ebonised, carved ram’s heads above ebonised, carved Sphinx’s heads on fluted columns terminating in ebonised carved feet. The original mirror plate is nicely foxed.
