Treen refers to small, functional wooden domestic objects made by turning or carving, highly collectable for their tactile history and craftsmanship.

Makers frequently utilised dense hardwoods such as fruitwood, boxwood, and lignum vitae, chosen for their durability and fine grain.

Authenticity is determined by natural patina, tool marks indicating hand-carving or early turning techniques, and age-appropriate wear and shrinkage.

These small objects integrate well into modern interiors when displayed on a bookshelf, coffee table, or desk as part of a curated collection.

Maintenance requires avoiding water and harsh chemicals, relying instead on occasional applications of microcrystalline wax to protect the natural finish.
