Music Box Circa 1880. Marquetry, Musical Box.

One of the largest music boxes in our inventory. The lid with highly unusual Marquetry floral inlays, opening to the original tune sheet which is in perfect condition, playing pleasant airs including waltz. There are no somber hymns or marches, just very pleasant music.
 
The lid opens to a glazed dust protector for the movement, complete with tune indicator, pin, barrel and a beautifully engraved damper centred by a lyre.
 
This fine instrument is in original condition and is a very rare model, which would make a fine addition to any collection or simply to go into one of the best of homes.
