Good C19th pair of burr yew and elm Windsor armchairs; great colour and richly patinated; the traditional low, hooped backs with burr yew pierced central splats flanked by turned spindles. The outsplayed arms on turned supports on shaped elm seats raised on ring turned legs united by crinoline stretchers; with a lovely warm colour and patina. Having a striking appearance due to the consistency of burr yew rather than the more common straight grain.
