Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

This Arts and Crafts period wall mirror dates from around 1900. The dark brown leather frame has an arched top containing a central embossed Tudor rose motif, brass-headed metal studding along the edges, and intricate embossed scrollwork along the vertical sides. The piece includes original clean mirror glass and hangs from a chain against a stone wall outdoors. It measures 86 cm by 64 cm overall. Such a piece suits placement above a sideboard in a gentleman's library or hallway. The dark tones and tactile materials complement traditional or rustic interior schemes while providing practical reflection in a daily living space.

Arts and Crafts leatherwork mirrors feature hand-tooled or embossed hides stretched over wooden cores, often decorated with stylized floral motifs, scrolling foliage, and decorative metal studs.

These mirrors typically consist of a solid timber frame covered in thick vegetable-tanned leather, secured with brass or copper studding, surrounding a central glass mirror plate.

Authentic period examples demonstrate hand-executed tooling with slight variations, natural age patination to the leather, original metal studs showing oxidisation, and solid timber backings.

A studded leather mirror adds texture and visual weight above a wooden sideboard, within an entryway, or integrated into a dark academia study alongside books and brass accents.

Dust the leather regularly with a soft dry cloth and occasionally apply a dedicated leather wax or balm to prevent drying, keeping the item away from direct heat sources and high humidity.
