This nineteenth-century Regency bracket clock presents a warm brown light oak case with a stepped pediment and ebonised corner inlay details. The circular silvered dial displays Roman numerals and bears the inscribed signature De La Salle & Christie, Cannon Street, London. A brass bezel frames the dial, complemented by slender black hands and winding holes positioned on either side of the centre. The heavy architectural housing rests on a stepped rectangular base with small bracket feet beneath a pronounced lower ogee moulding. Measuring 37 cm high, 26 cm wide and 19 cm deep, this timepiece suits placement on a mantelpiece or shelf within a gentleman's library or study to display traditional horological craftsmanship.

A twin fusee bracket clock is a spring-driven table clock utilising a fusee cone and chain mechanism to equalise power, featuring two separate gear trains for timekeeping and hourly striking.

These timepieces are typically constructed with hardwood cases such as oak, mahogany, or rosewood, housing brass movements, silvered or enamel dials, and glass front apertures.

Authentic pieces feature hand-engraved maker signatures on the dial or movement backplate, cast brass bezels, twin fusee mechanisms, and period-correct case joinery.

Position the clock as a central focal point on a fireplace mantelpiece, sideboard top, or bookshelf to add architectural structure and history to contemporary decor.

Keep the timepiece in a climate-stable room away from direct heat, wind the mechanism regularly with the correct key, and schedule professional horological servicing every five to seven years.
