A fine example of provincial Clockmaking with some high quality features to the cabinetwork.
The painted dial features Roman numerals and blued steel hands. Also with the makers name Hyde, Salisbury. The dial can be accessed via a lockable cast brass bezel, fitted with a convex glass.
The double fusee movement strikes the hours unusually on a deep resonating gong. The pendulum is fitted with a transportation facility and can be adjusted via the lockable rear door.
The high quality domed top case features superb mahogany veneers, intricate brass inlay to the front elevation, brass bun feet, brass carrying handles and brass fish scale frets to both sides.
An excellent example.
Fullly restored and guaranteed for 3 years.
