P A Oxley Antique Clocks & Barometers has dated this Regency Mahogany Bracket Clock to the Regency era.
This particular example is unsigned which is rather unusual for this period.
The pendulum also features an engraved measurement for regulation and can be fixed into position for transport.

The painted dial has Roman numerals and matching blued steel hands.
There are some very nice features to the case with brass fish scale frets to the side, a brass carrying handle to the top which is mounted on a brass bordered pad. To the front elevation there are further brass frets below the dialwhich are exquisitely engraved. The case stands on four brass bracket feet.

An excellent example.
C.1815
Note: Both the case and dial have recently been sympathetically restored. The movement is currently in working order but it will be fully overhauled and serviced before delivery.
