Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

The Queen Anne style emerged in Great Britain during the late 17th and early 18th centuries, marking a transition from heavy, rectilinear forms to lighter, more curved designs influenced by Dutch furniture styles.

These pieces typically utilized native hardwoods such as walnut or oak, featuring joinery techniques like mortise and tenon, and pronounced elements such as cabriole legs and pad or claw-and-ball feet.

Authentic pieces often display period-appropriate joinery, hand-carved details with tool marks consistent with age, patination on the wood surfaces, and construction methods characteristic of 18th-century cabinet making.

These chairs work effectively as accent pieces in contemporary living spaces, providing a historical contrast when paired with minimalist furnishings, neutral colour palettes, or modern textiles.

Preservation involves maintaining stable indoor humidity levels, avoiding direct sunlight to prevent wood fading, and treating the surface periodically with traditional beeswax rather than modern silicone polishes.
