I have various pieces from the last Spencer house sale, which is still owned by Lady Diana Spencer’s family, the history of the items is that Lord Rothschild in the 1980’s leased the property, at that time the house was restored, the pieces furnished the offices, meeting rooms and the newly restored State rooms. ...ave all the original gilding which has beautifully aged and worn throughout to reveal the base plaster beneath which has a purplish tinge to it. The upholstery has been professionally cleaned, it has some light patina marks here and there, it is the 100% correct type of fabric for this period chair
