This large Victorian overmantle mirror dates from 1880 and brings classic English Country House style to an interior. The piece is constructed from wood and composition, finished in a bright gold gilding over a rectangular form with arched upper corners. Decorative elements include ornate top cresting with a central palmette motif flanked by scrolled scrolls, scrolled corner spandrels, and substantial scrolled base supports resting on circular feet.
