A stunning tunbridge wood jewellery box. A decent sized immaculate example with a whole heap of inlaid woods. You’ve got burr walnut inlaid panels to each side with tulipwood cross banding, ebony and satinwood also. A lovely castle picture inlaid in tunbridge ware. The box is simply faultless and comes with a fully functioning lock and key. The interior is tremendously designed with a vert neat lift out tray which can cater for all your jewellery needs. Underneath is a large storage area for more goodies! Dates too c.1890. Get your hands on something rather special!

Tunbridge Ware is a distinct type of decorative woodwork characterised by tiny mosaic tiles created from various naturally coloured timbers, originating in Kent, England, during the 18th century and reaching its peak popularity in the Victorian era.
