A super quality Victorian writing box by P&F Shafer of 27 Piccadilly London. Hand made from embossed leather with gilt tooling and gilded brass fittings. The box opens to reveal original inkwells, various compartments and sprung correspondence holder with scissors, letter opener and loops for pens. 33cms wide, 24cms deep and 14.8cms tall.
