This is a Louis XVI Neoclassical mantel clock from 1880, designed in a French Chateau style. The piece is constructed from white marble and accented with gilt bronze mounts and an enamel dial, presenting a combination of white and gold tones throughout the structure. Decorative elements comprise a laurel wreath finial on top, beaded trim around the upper housing, and floral swags positioned near the corners of the white enamelled convex dial, which features black Arabic numerals. The base rests on four round, fluted feet and includes ornamental gilded brass scrollwork along the front apron.
