Decorative pair of ''blonde'' maple side chairs with well-carved shaped ovoid open backs with good detail . The figured pale maple timber having achieved a pleasing mellow patina and sheen .
Raised on turned and carved fore-legs , the stuff-over seats benefitting from recent clean upholstery.
One chair had minor evidence of historic woodworm which been treated and eradicated .
Excellent strong frames in good original condition with no breaks , damage or repairs .
Have design features recognised as being possibly from the workshops of the esteemed cabinet-making firm of Gillows of Lancaster and London though not marked .
