Salisbury Antiques Centre has dated these William IV Dining Chairs to the 19th Century.
The shaped uprights flow down into the seat rails, giving the chairs a particularly graceful profile.

The chairs retain their removable drop-in seats, newly upholstered in a neutral linen-style fabric, and are raised on finely turned and reeded front legs, with elegant sabre legs to the rear.
A particularly attractive and decorative set, combining the restrained classical influence of the William IV period with beautifully executed carved detail. Their relatively open backs also give them a lighter appearance around a dining table than many chairs of the period.
Seat Height 43cm
English, circa 1830.
These chairs would complement our William IV dining table, stock code C3048, particularly well, creating a very handsome period dining setting.
