Furthermore, this set of six Georgian mahogany dining chairs is of exceptionally good quality, as the weight of the chairs confirms; indeed, craftsmen built them from the best-quality dense Georgian solid mahogany.
Design & Craftsmanship:
Tapered, fluted front legs support the seat frames at the front, while splayed legs support the rear for extra stability.
Upholstery & Comfort:
In addition, these nineteenth-century dining chairs incorporate generous drop-in seats, and our upholsterers have newly upholstered these seats to a professional standard, using top-quality hardwearing duck egg blue herringbone hopsack weave upholstery, finished with traditional webbing to the underside. If you do not like the colour or style of the upholstery, however, we can recover the seats in a fabric of your choice for £30 per chair.
This is an ideal set of Georgian period chairs for use in either the dining room for formal dining, or in the office for everyday use. They would grace either a traditional or contemporary setting and are a great investment, as they are extremely functional.

This fine-quality antique English set of six Georgian dining chairs, built from solid mahogany circa 1830, remains a sturdy set, with no loose joints throughout. There are nonetheless a few nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chairs, although nothing significant given their age. Our workshop has also cleaned and French polished the chair frames by hand to a professional standard, so the colour and patination are of an excellent standard as a result. Since the chair frames retain their original patination, they boast a deep, rich depth of colour. Our upholsterers have likewise newly upholstered the seats to a professional standard, so the upholstery remains clean and free from wear and marks. If you do not like the colour or style of the upholstery, once again, we can recover the seats in a fabric of your choice for £30 per chair.
