Antique Furniture Direct has dated this Edwardian Burr Walnut Cabinet to the Edwardian era.
The single panelled cupboard door opens via a highly decorative, gilt brass drop ring handle to reveal a single removable shelf to the interior. In a wonderfully figured burr walnut, inlaid throughout, with Maple and Co label to the inside of the door.

Maple & Co. was once the largest and most successful furniture manufacturer in the world. They famously furnished aristocratic estates, embassies, and royal residences across the globe, including Tsar Nicholas’s Winter Palace. Their stamped or labelled pieces remain highly sought after by collectors for their uncompromising craftsmanship.
