Founders Antiques has dated this Victorian Ebonised Salon Chair to the Victorian era.

Embodying the High Aesthetic Movement’s fascination with Moorish form, its low-slung, architectural profile draws directly from the Anglo-Eastern revivalist influences championed by London’s art circles in the late 1870s, with an extraordinary density of detail, pairing spiral turnings and spindle galleries with applied brass beadwork, collared rings and cable-twist trims that catch the light against the ebonised timber.
Upholstery is clean and in good order. Structurally sound and ready to place.
English, circa 1880.
