An antique French Louis Philippe mirror, dating from the mid-nineteenth century around 1840. The piece displays a rectangular form with rounded upper corners, constructed from wood, glass, paint, and gilt. The frame consists of an ebonised black outer section complemented by a contrasting gilt slip and a beaded inner moulding. Signs of age include light surface wear and minor scuffs to the dark paintwork. The mirror measures 74 cm wide by 101.5 cm high.
