A fine quality and larger than usual WILLIAM IV Silver Gilt Snuff box hallmarked for BIRMINGHAM 1836 by THOMAS SHAW.
 
Oblong shaped with rubbed sides and engine turning to the lid and base. Initials engraved to the central cartouche.
 
The interior has a gilt wash and full set of hallmarks.
 
Measuring 8.5 cm x 3.8 cm x 1.8 cm and weighs a healthy 72.7 grams.
 
In very good antique condition, the hallmarks are good, hinge working well, gilding is still bright, engine turning very nice. Usual signs of wear commensurate of age and use.
