Marlborough Antiques & Interiors has dated these Neo Rococo Open Armchairs to the 1930s.
The finely carved walnut frames feature floral cresting, graceful scrolled arms, serpentine rails and cabriole legs, giving the chairs an elegant and timeless silhouette. The chairs have been professionally reupholstered in the celebrated GP & J Baker ‘Fantasia’ linen in the Spice colourway. This iconic design depicts exotic birds, leopards and stylised foliage in a sophisticated palette of warm spice, sage green, soft pink and cream. The upholstery has been finished with traditional double piping, highlighting the elegant curves of the frames. The warm honey-coloured timber beautifully complements the rich tones of the fabric, creating a pair of chairs that feel equally at home in a classic country house, a contemporary interior or an eclectic townhouse. Seat Height: 42 cm

Condition: The frames are solid and sturdy with an attractive aged patina and light cosmetic wear consistent with their age, adding to their character. The newly completed upholstery is in excellent condition.
